include Matthew Peterson’s induction to the

John Tiemessen served as the 2009-2010
president of the Western States Bar
Conference. He is past president of the
Alaska Bar Association Board of Governors
and the Tanana Valley Bar Association. Mr.
Tiemessen also lectures on risk management
issues.
John Thorsness brings to the firm his
reputation as one of Alaska’s leading
defense counsel for product liability cases.
Mr. Thorsness has handled complex product
liability cases and has tried cases in
virtually every jurisdiction in the state,
both federal and state courts. He is also
the Alaska editor for two national
compendiums of state product liability law.
Linda Johnson has served on the Board of
Directors of the Anchorage Youth Court since
2007. Her expertise is in labor and
employment law and she serves as the Hearing
Officer for the Sitka Employee Relations
