Experience

Ms. Johnson practices labor and employment law. She has represented management interests and has worked with multiple unions. Ms. Johnson worked for the Municipality of Anchorage, Department of Law, Civil Division, for five years, specifically representing the Police Department and the Employment Relations Department. She currently litigates in various arenas, including state and federal court, before administrative hearing officers, employment compliance agencies, and in arbitration. Ms. Johnson has successfully handled numerous labor and employment matters with employment and constitutional issues in state and federal court, tried cases in state court, as well as in administrative hearings, and filed appeals. Her labor and employment practice includes municipalities and private companies, and she takes both plaintiff’s and defense cases in labor and employment matters, bringing a balanced perspective to her work. Ms. Johnson has served as the City and Borough of Sitka Employee Relations Hearing Officer for several years.
